The 37th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing (ACRS 2016) is a prestigious annual event organized by Local Organizing Committee of Sri Lanka and Asian Association on Remote Sensing (AARS) in collaboration with Survey Department and Geo-Spatial Interested Community of Sri Lanka. The Conference was held at Galadari Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka last October 17 to 21, 2016 with the theme “Promoting Spatial Data Infrastructure for Sustainable Economic Development.
Representatives from CLSU PHIL-LiDAR 1 and 2 headed by Dr. Annie Melinda Paz-Alberto, Project Leader of PHIL-LiDAR 1 and Dr. Ronaldo T. Alberto, Project Leader of PHIL-LiDAR 2, together with research associates, senior research specialist and science research assistants attended and presented orally their research findings and results during the Asian Conference on Remote Sensing.
The conference was attended by 764 participants of which 401 participants came from 31 different countries composed of scientists, researchers, academicians, policy makers, directors, project leaders, private sectors, software developers and young professionals from various universities, government agencies and private sectors.
