Distribution and Promotion of IEC (Information, Education and Communication) Materials in the Province of Zambales

Distribution of IEC (Information, Education and Communication) brochures namely: “Mangrove, Tree of Life”, “Bakawan, Puno ng Buhay”, “Lusay” and “Seagrass”were distributed to 72 Barangays in the seven municipalities of Zambales such as Botolan, San Antonio, San Felipe, San Marcelino, San Narciso and Cabangan; Balaybay Resettlement Elementary School; Panan Elementary School; Porac Elementary School; Sapang Bato Elementary School; Panan National High School and in the municipality of Botolan.

   The distribution and promotion of IEC materials were done to provide awareness and information to the public, such as schools and local communities. The brochure comprises the importance and conservation of mangroves and seagrass for climate change mitigation. A total of 6,240 copies of brochures were distributed to 78 different Barangays of Zambales on December 8 to 12, 2015 (Figures A to D).
