Every quarter of the year, the PHIL-LiDAR 1 Program is always conducting a cluster meeting. During the last quarter of 2016, the CLSU PHIL-LiDAR 1 headed by Dr. Annie Melinda Paz-Alberto, Project Leader of PHIL-LiDAR 1 of Region 3 ang Pangasinan hosted the 3rd PHIL-LiDAR 1 Luzon Cluster Conference at Lenox Hotel in Dagupan City, Pangasinan last Decemeber 1-2, 2016.
The said event was attended by the Program Leader of PHIL-LiDAR 1 Program Dr. Enrico C. Paringit and his UP Diliman research team, DOST-PCIEERD representatives and the researchers of SUC’s namely: Ateneo de Naga University (ADNU), Central Luzon State University (CLSU), Isabela State University (ISU), Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT), University of the Philippines-Baguio (UPB), University of the Philippines-Diliman (UPD) and University of the Philippines-Los Baños (UPLB).
The highlight of the conference was the Turn-over of the Maps to the cities and municipalities of Pangasinan affected by rivers namely: Dagupan River, Patalan River, Alaminos River and Agno Rive. A Flood Hazard Seminar was also conducted for public education and awareness about Flood Contingency and Importance and Utilization of Flood Hazard Maps. The presentation ofpProject updates and accomplishments of the Luzon Cluster of PHIL-LiDAR 1 was also conducted. On December 02, 2016 the issues/concerns, problems encountered and targets of every SUC in Luzon regarding the project were tackled during the presentation of accomplishments.
