Agricultural Resources and Facilities Inventory from LiDAR Surveys
The CLSU Phil-LiDar 2 REMap Field Validation in Selected Rice Mills in Umingan, Pangasinan
The CLSU Phil-LiDAR 2 REMap team led by Engr. Klifford M. Orge and Engr. Emman M. Ramos conducted an interview at Umingan, Pangasinan to determine the location of the sources of biomass wastes and to gather other data which are vital in REMap processing. Accompanied by the Engineer of the Department of Agriculture of Umingan, Engr. Orge conducted an interview and gathered data from Mr. Danilo Ong the owner of OBS Rice Mill. The biomass to be validated in Pangasinan will be the residues of rice and corn. The sources of rice hull are from rice mills, while the sources of corn cobs will be from the corn farms where corn threshing was done.
Meanwhile, Engr. Emman E. Ramos also conducted an inspection together with the Engineer of the Department of Agriculture of Umingan of rice mill units of OBS Rice Mill in Umingan, Pangasinan. Moreover, Engr. Ramos also conducted an interview of the operators of the rice mill.
The two engineers also conducted a field validation at the rice mills with the assistance of local DA officer. This activity was carried out to gather information on the availability and efficiency of collection of the residues which are needed in computing the theoretical and actual biomass resource energy potential.
